Hi all,
I hope to have some more informative blogs for you next week as our Buyer is in Montana buying hub caps, but for now, check out this banjo that a man made from a Volkswagen hubcap. People are so creative. I love the detail that he put into the carving of the VW Microbus. Well done Bisbonian. Thanks for sharing.

Hi all!
Now I know this isn’t strictly about hubcaps or Hubcaps.com but I think Mr. Max Chen’s work is incredible. I found him as I was looking for images of hub caps in Google. Check out his hub cap mirror here amongst his other art pieces. I know that my boys would absolutely love his soapbox racer he made. Mr. Chen, you are very creative. Thanks for sharing your pieces with us.
I wonder if he could think of something really cool to do with this 1954 Mercury wheel cover or this really beautiful 1953 Buick, the BK53WW. I bet he could, I just bet he could.
Take care all!

The Mirror Project is a growing community of like-minded individuals who have photographed themselves in all manner of reflective surfaces.
How cool is this? A huge collection of pictures people took of themselves in something reflective. Water, Christmas ornaments, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. There’s even a Shiny Hubcaps section. On our Hubcaps.com site, our owner has been photographing himself in the hub caps for years. (Don’t tell him I told you so, but he wasn’t doing it on purpose.) Check him out in this Dodge center cap, our CHRC57. I told him now he’s part of a really cool crowd that likes to see a reflection of themselves in different objects.
Who thinks of these things?

Happy Tuesday to you all!
I love surfing the web to see what interesting things people are doing with hubcaps. Check out the “Carniture” guy. Tell him what specific model you’re looking for, such as the 1955 Mustang hub cap, and he’ll make you a table out of it. What another great idea.
We’re really decking out the rec. room or garage now. We’ve got the wheel cover clock and now the hub cap table. Don’t forget to add in the “Auttoman” and you’ll be all set. Hmmm, seems like we need a chair, wouldn’t we?
If you have any ideas of things to do with hubcaps, don’t hesitate to e-mail me. I’m always interested. Take care all!

Here’s an interesting idea. I don’t know this person, but they’ve come up with a cool idea for recycling old hubcaps. Visit here to see the old 1955 Chevy hub cap they’ve turned into a wall clock. It really has me thinking. What a great idea!
Seems pretty simple to do. Drill a hole, add clock works, install batteries and you’ve got yourself a really cool clock. I think these would be incredible for a boys room, game room or in those garages that are in much better shape than mine is. (Way too much stuff in mine)
This would be a great gift idea for that hard-to-buy-for person. (such as my Dad) Pick a cap from his favorite car or truck and turn it into something he’ll be able to treasure forever. I think the wheel cover for the 1954 Plymouth would be perfect as a clock. I wouldn’t paint it though, it’s awesome the way it is.
Just thought I’d share. Let me know what you think.
Take care,
April

Hey all,
Just wanted to let you guys know about an incredible opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Here at Hubcaps.com we sponsor 15 children in India through Gospel for Asia’s Bridge of Hope. We send $28.00 for each child and they get food, medical care, clothing and the opportunity to learn about the love Jesus Christ has for them. 100% of our $28.00 goes to the children. Gospel for Asia doesn’t use sponsor money to run their organization. Every one of our dollars goes directly to help the kids.
We have pictures of each of our children and information on where they live. It’s so awesome to know that we help these children each month. These children are the poorest of the poor and to be able to give them hope and love and the skills they’ll need to make it in this world is beyond words. Please, check out GFA’s Bridge of Hope. You too can help.

Hiya!
During some internet surfing time last week, I came across an interesting read. I found an article here discussing the best cars of James Bond’s, agent 007. I personally got a kick out of reading the article especially when I read about two specific cars. The 1964 Aston Martin from “Goldfinger” and the 1985 Aston Martin Volante from “The Living Daylights”.
James Bond, played by Sean Connery, raced around in the 1964 Aston Martin. It had everything a secret agent would need. It had a passenger ejection seat, an oil slick dispenser, revolving license plates, machine guns, a bulletproof rear end and best of all…tire slashing hubcaps!
Timothy Dalton’s James Bond was lucky enough to drive the 1985 Aston Martin. This beauty came equipped with bulletproof windows, a dashboard weapons control system, concealed rockets, a jet propulsion device and yep, you guessed it….Laser beams hidden in the hub caps.
Now, sadly, we here at Hubcaps.com have neither tire-slashing hubcaps nor laser beam hubcaps. But we do have all original hub caps and wheel covers. We have a team of dedicated restorers that make each cap look like new and we have free shipping inside the continental U.S. Call us if you’re looking for something special or something for your daily driver and we’ll go out of our way to help you out.
Take care and Happy New Year!

Check out this new product the Boss recently saw at the SEMA show in Las Vegas!
Mad about your Mini? Bonkers for your Beemer? What could be better than bringing part of your favorite car into your house or business as furniture?
Shlomi Fattal, a.ka. “The Car Freak,” has come up with a wild design idea that incorporates any custom wheel style or hubcap into an honest-to-goodness piece of furniture! In his Westwood, Ca. studio, Shlomi caters to the ultimate auto-enthusiast by designing and hand-crafting something he has dubbed “The Auttoman.”
As you can see from the picture, the piece not only looks cool, but it makes a definite statement about your love of racing, cruising, or just cars in general! With the addition of custom-cut glass, the Auttoman can go from a one-of-a-kind seat to the world’s coolest coffee table.
The wheelcover as art… Now that’s something Hubcaps.com can definitely get behind!
