There were two brothers that started the whole Dodge corporation. Their names were Horace & John Dodge. They started making the brand in 1914, but the Dodge Hubcaps didn’t really come along until about 1949 or so.
The very first car that they made was a touring car that was favored among car buyers; and then was joined by a four-door sedan. Three years later (in 1917), they expanded their company into making trucks and Dodge Hubcaps for those models. Here’s a fun fact : Both of the Dodge cars & trucks were used as staff vehicles in the first World War.
Just like any other American car manufacturer, they kind of slipped in the 70s because of the changing styles .. but they came back on top. It’s a good thing they came back on top, too – I was worried I wasn’t going to get the truck that I wanted.
